Who is tomdev anyway and why would i read his notes??

i’m tom de villiers, otherwise known as tomdev by my collegues

i’m a software engineer at amazon in cape town, south africa

far away from you im assuming

but i promise we are pretty sophisticated here too so no need to stress

and now about my notes..

usually they provide absolutely zero value, but very occasionally i think there might be some value in them for you

expect to hear all about my day to day life as a software engineer at amazon, crazy stories from my life as a swe, semi-practical tips on how to become the absolute best engineer, and potentially some deep dives into how things work in the software engineering world.

i have a particular interest in scalable systems & system design but i don’t suppose i know enough to write about it but i might give it a shot here and there

other than that i can’t offer you much more unfortunately
